INDIVIDUAL, COUPLES AND FAMILY THERAPY
I work with individuals of all ages suffering from depressive and anxiety disorders, self-harm, suicidal ideation and trauma. I utilize evidence-based treatment such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and DBT-PE (Prolonged Exposure).
GROUP THERAPY
I offer Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills group and Art Therapy groups.
DBT skills group is a cognitive behavioral treatment that is proven effective to alleviate emotional distress and suffering. This group helps in developing skills that increases awareness of thoughts, urges and feelings; increases ability to cope with intense emotions; decreases impulsive and self-destructive behaviors; and helps with effectively communicate needs.
PSYCHOLOGICAL AND FORENSIC EVALUATIONS
I conduct various evaluations such as psychological evaluations (cognitive, achievement, and personality assessments), forensic psychological evaluations (child maltreatment, parental capacity and victim offender intersectionality), and immigration hardship evaluations.
GET TO KNOW DR. HAESUNG HAN
Dr. HaeSung Han received her master's and doctoral degree in clinical psychology from George Washington University and a master's degree in art therapy from New York University.
She completed her post-doctoral fellowship in forensic psychology at Audrey Hepburn Children's House, Hackensack University Medical Center in the field of child maltreatment. She completed two post-graduate certificate programs: one in international trauma studies from Columbia University and the other in civil and criminal forensic psychology from Montclair State University.
Dr. Han is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and offers TF-CBT to children and adolescents exposed to traumatic events. For those who prefer creative expression over verbal communication, art therapy can be used to compliment TF-CBT components.
Dr. Han has received over 190 post-graduate training hours in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and DBT-PE (Prolonged Exposure) and offers comprehensive DBT for adolescent and adults interested in developing skills that address specific challenges in thoughts and behaviors.
